What engine oil do you use?

I am going to be doing a oil change myself on my 3.0si next weekend. I was wondering what the most popular engine oils are that people use.

I will be keeping a running total of each response, which ever has the most, that's the one I'll buy.

So, everyone let me know what its gonna be!

I use BMW oil.

Mobil 1, being using it for 15 years + and will always use it.

Exactly what I was looking for.

I have a dumb question. I was wondering if there was a how to article on changing oil for my 3.0si. I know how to change oil on a car, I assure you that. I was just trying to get the specs, ex. what type of synthetic oil, how many quarts to use and so on and so on.

A BMW TIS DVD available on Ebay is a valuable tool if you plan on doing some of your own maintenance.
Your N52 powered Z4 3.0Si has an oil capacity with oil filter of 6.5 liters (6.87 qts).
Oil type as recommended by BMW NA:

The oil filter cap and the oil drain plug are torqued to 25N*m
You'll need a 86mm/16 flute Cup, Oil Filter wrench, 3/8 in. drive, to remove the oil filter cannister cap.
