Damn, I hate winter.
Frosty this morning. Thank God I have a garage this year. Last year when it got this cold, my older X5 had all sorts of problems. Spring is 6 or 7 weeks away yet.

Good lord, even colder where you are. I saw -1° F on the drive to work today. The ZHP is not happy. It's fine on the way to work, but when it's sat in freezing temperatures all day, it's creaky and rattly on the way home.
Garages are awesome though. It's pretty nippy in there still, but the coldest I've seen is still around around 40°. What I hate even more than the cold is how everything just gets caked with salt and dirt. Hard to get excited about washing the car when I know it's only going to get gross in a day or two (but I do it anyway). |

-11 driving into work at 8am... Sucks. Just glad the daylight is starting to last a bit longer now, just a matter of time before spring.

That's -8 degrees. +8 degrees is nothing to post about. Practically balmy.

About -30 this morning here in MN. A guy at work is taking a day off. He's going ice-fishing in International Falls (at least 35 below).
My Z gets the only spot in the garage during the winter. 3 more months and she'll be out of the cage. |

Posted this about the same time last year! Good thing it is a comfy -8 today instead of what it could be!

+5 C or about 40F here now. However we're headed for some of coldest days of the year over the next few days down to -15C or around +5F.
Can't wait for nicer weather in a few months. |

What is it with everyone quoting with wind chill? The car doesn't get any colder that the air temperature. Wind chill just factors in what bare skin would feel compared to the an absolute temperature with no wind.
The chill factor basically adjusts for how fast heat is being lost. That being said, minus 8F is damned cold. A couple of years ago I was parked in an unheated parking garage all day, and the car read 4 degrees when I returned to it. I don't recall if it was plus or minus 4, but is was cold. The car ran fine, but I babied it significantly until it got some heat in it. This Sunday evening is forecasted to be 5F, and of course, I have a meeting. EB |

Last week that was the high temperature for a few days here (although today it was +4C and raining). Lows in the -26C (-15F) range. Normally expect it to get down to -30 to -35C (-22F to -31F) here in February. Z4M runs fine, although it does sound like a bucket of bolts while starting after soaking all day at those temperatures

Hang in there man. I was lucky and put off my car storage until Dec 16. Still early April or late March (hopefully) is away off and next month will probably have a few even colder days. You'll appreciate the coupe after driving the winter beater for a while.
