Just discovered that the side view mirrors do, in fact, fold up! Whenever I had tried it before, it always required,
what I considered to be, "breaking" force pressure and the mirrors still didn't seem to want to move. I bumped into one with my arm while washing my car this morning and the darn thing moved! I pushed up and it folded!!

I guess it's not a common feature on the US cars, or if it was even available, the Canadian cars with Premium pack fold up automatically with the press of a button.

At one time I had read on this forum that this was possible on US spec. cars. I just didn't want to break anything!

It is kind of a weird motion. Sort of a twist back and up at the same time.

An added plus, fold them up after a wash and all the rinse water will drain out.

That's what always gets me. Trying to find that magic angle without snapping them off.

Awesome!! I was just being silly as usual in my earlier post. I agree though that the mirrors do need some force to move them as you say and the feature is nice for draining the mirrors after washing the car. My friend has a Canadian Z4 and it has the power folding mirrors whereas my imported from the US car does not. It puzzles me why BMW decided not to include the feature on US cars.

Found out about this when the car came off the delivery truck.

Delivery truck driver pulled the car out and unfolded them out.

I'm kind of amazed that this isn't well known.

For sure! Only about 35000 miles on her yet and I'm still loving the car. Got a set of VMR 718 rims in the garage waiting on some new rubber so I can install them in a couple of weeks.

I won't be parting with this Car any time soon!

Yessir! The calendar is really a great thing. I'd have one even if my car wasn't in it. But it is awfully nice to be included.
