Finally Solved How to Code the Angel Eyes as DRL!
So after an afternoon of tinkering and experimenting I found the value that needs to be changed to enable the angel eyes to run full time as daytime running lights. It is;
GED_FL_ALS_DRL Change it from 'nicht_aktiv' to 'aktiv'. You now have angel eye DRL's My next project is to replace the bulbs with LEDs and code out the bulb check.

If you want the brightest LEDs available, you should be looking at ones with (10) xbd Cree LEDs. If you find anything brighter, post them. Even the white ones will still look blue since there's a blue translucent filter between the bulb and the AE. That's what makes the yellow Halogen look kinda white, yet dim. Don't expect your AE to be a whole lot brighter with LEDs, because they won't. The only way to get bright AEs is to use the LED rings. |

Ah. Well, damn. I searched but must have missed that. Fortunately my afternoon involved some other projects so it wasn't in vain after all. Thanks for the info on LEDs.

You might be able to do this with Progman.
Easier than NCS. I used Progman to enable 3-blink passing turn signals, but didn't mess with DRLs since I always run with the parking lights on.
