Pics of new mods! CSL's, Side Skirts, Supersprints, GruppeM etc......
Recently did a few mods to the M,
and to celebrate I decided to make a nice in depth picture thread for everyone to see, I've done quite a few picture threads now so I'm sure you used to the routine Ok so what have I done, Firstly lets go with the OEM CSL/ZCP rims, Bought new from Evan at Tischer, I really can't say enough about these guys over there, They are hands down the BEST online vendor I've ever dealt with and I buy ALL my BMW parts and accessories from them, I encourage anyone who hasn't tried them to pay a visit to their site to see the phenomenal prices they have! Go to www.getbmwparts.com Or Click the little banner below! The guys there are awesome and have helped me with all my BMW's and shall continue to do in the future! I really can't say enough good things about them, I'm sure everyone who has dealt with them knows what I'm on about! But on to what the threads about, Pictures! Paid (another) visit to BMW HQ for the pics, Ok so we see the OEM CSL's in the pic, Tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, I also fitted flush tire valve stems, I really like how they look, a little fiddly to add air but I like the look of no valve stem, We also see another exterior mod, The OEM Aero Side skirts, Also bought from Tischer BMW so BIG thanks again to Evan for hooking me up with those, you can really see the sides stick out further with the aero sides, Also fitted, Supersprint Powerloop exhaust, Beautiful exhaust, Wonderfully made and really beautiful installed, The powerloop system has 2 pipes "looping" out the back to do something or other to the sound ( I never quite found out what EXACTLY the powerloop does ) but it costs $1000 more than the Supersprint Race exhaust! Crazy! But the sound of the powerloop is less aggressive and it actually quite exotic sounding, Pics I found of the insides of the powerloop (you can see the loops on the back of the Z4M muffler) Ok so how it looks installed, The sound is nice, Its not as loud as the Supersprint Race exhaust, I have heard that in person and although I did like it, I just found it was a little too much for me, This is a perfect balance for me, But to be honest, the new intake takes over the exhaust sound when you get above 4K revs! That new intake is the holy grail of intakes itself, The GruppeM It is an awesome intake, and after owning the AFE and now the GruppeM I can see why people like it so much, Its not a HUGE difference to the AFE, TBH I don't think most people would be able to tell the difference, The sound is slightly more "bark" than the AFE, very CSL like, obviously the look is miles better, it really is stunning, I am thinking of coating the inside in heat reflective gold foil, I think that will look very good against the carbon, Ok one final thing, I had my OEM rear braces powder coated in white aluminum to match the OEM strut brace, Its a perfect match and I love the way it looks, Makes the engine look all caged in I'm going to try to find some covers for the nuts, I have a few vendors online I'm looking at to order them from, Ok and thats it for now! I'm really liking how the car is looking and sounding, That intake and exhaust really work in harmony with each other, other mods I've done are, 4.10 gears, ESS Tune, and a RPI Scoop, The car is noticeably faster with all these mods and I just love it! I'll leave with one last "artsy" shot I took as I was leaving, I rather like it Hope you enjoy the pics

LOL. Nice wheels, did the increased diameter affect the ride at all (ie, is it harsher)?

You've been busy, everything looks good. Did Tischer provide the side skirts painted or did you have it done local?

Your roadster looks great!
I love the CSL's, a truly classic look. The side profile pic of the side skirts is the best angle I have seen too . Almost wish I had not seen that shot, as I know want a set for myself. Tastefully done, nice contribution to the post.

I have always loved/wanted the aero side skirts,
I really don't see why BMW didn't for them standard to the M's, They already had the kits, it wouldn't have required any re-designing, and it completes the look very well I think, Esp with the M's getting a different front and rear bumper, Why not the sides too? Very happy how they came out, and installation was a snap, both literally and metaphorically

As always... tastefully done!
Glad you finally shed the Contis. The only thing now is... dare I say it... a drop for even sicker stance. Side skirts work very well on the Roadie. If it only looked half as good on an IR Coupé I'd have a set for myself. The last of my nitpicks is with the exhaust pipes... could be a tad higher up on the body. But it's nice to see no more bollocks |

Thanks guys
I think I will adjust the mufflers a little higher, I wanted them a "tad" lower to be able to polish the tips easier, but I think I went a bit too low, but yes no more hanging bollocks for my M (and I think the aero sides suit the coupe MORE than the roadster )

Looks great! Did you get the powerloops new? I've always wanted them but they're so expensive, I think I'm going to have to go with the Remus instead. How much were the sideskirts? I'm really considering them.

Evan has the sideskirts for $254 a side
Part numbers 51710150780 and 51710150781 The powerloops really are not that much louder than stock, its just more refined and exotic sounding, and ZERO drone! even if you try to make them drone they won't, and a nice deep bass sound on low revs I think for the price the Remus would be the way to go, I'd like to hear a Remus system to compare

nothing but the best quality mods! i would've done the same exact mods as you if my budget were as big, lol
hmm, now you got me thinking. i was going to shell out for the oem cf rear diffuser but for the same price, i could get aero sides (plus extra cost to paint), which would be better spent? which is more noticeable?? |

Awesome that you guys are offering them pre-painted for everyone! I've had things from Evan pre-painted and let me tell you from personal experience the pre-painted stuff is better quality than the factory finish!

What would you want more; sideskirts or headers? I'm leaning towards headers
