Z4's and pets
I can't fit any of my dogs in the Z. Well, I suppose I could if I really needed to. But I wouldn't want to anyways because of the shedding and their nails digging into my seat. Does anyone travel with pets in their car?
Simo's 110lbs Simo and Emma. Emma's currently 70lbs and 30lbs underweight (we just rescued her last month from a shelter.) Dusty 60lbs

NO! My cat is not even allowed in the garage anymore (to his dismay). I shudder knowing that he would see the top (or the leather seats when the top is down) as a perfect scratching post.

Travelling with pets is almost as distracting as using a cellphone, especially if they like jumping around in the car!
This is my pet, Kia. She's a Kiwi bird from New Zealand. All she does is nod her head and enjoys the ride. |

no rides
This is Loosie. She cannot ride in the car because Irish wolfhounds are too big.
She does find the car about the right height to stick her head inside when I pull up at home, though. If I don't roll down the window, it gets a liberal application of nose art. |

When I was in college years ago I had a big Sulphur Crested Cockatoo (like Fred on Baretta) he would ride on the back of the seat of my old truck and hang on the steering wheel---he was a cool bird to say the least. Had an occasional Crap on the floorboards though, I don't think I would have a pet in the Z4.

I take my cats on long trips from Seattle (where I live) to Vancouver, B.C. (where my home is) all the time. And I have 3 cats - one 3-year old, and two 2-year-olds. They've been travelling with me pretty much since they were kittens so they're used to riding in cars. I put their beds in the passenger footwell and on the passenger seat and they just cuddle and sleep the whole way to Vancouver.
