Anyone around LAX for a coffee/beer on 17/18?

Any members in Vegas? I'll be there the week of 3/7. Since I haven't driven my Z4 in months I'd love to at least get into the passenger's seat of one to cruise the strip.

I'm not sure exactly what I have going on on the 17th but I live pretty close to LAX and would love to compare airbox notes! Down for coffee but beer sounds better! Depending on how long you're around I can definitely make it work.

StickMon, Ofcourse i understand Stereo-B /must/ be seen, how long has it been in orbit around the sun now? and the major question is of course.. that must be some snazzy equipment that grants you a view that far into the past whada ya running?

I'll be in Bahrain for a year starting in June... with one of the Z's . I don't know which one yet, but it will probably be the non-M. I plan to make it out to Dubai at some point.

I can't even remember when they launched. Can't remember what I had for breakfast.
Stereo-A (Ahead) went into Solar orbit ahead of Earth.
Stereo-B (Behind) went into orbit behind Earth.
Ahead got farther ahead and Behind got farther behind until they crossed paths on the other side of the Sun.
Last September, just before it went behind the Sun, Behind lost attitude control. It went into max power saving mode and is tumbling with its transmitter shut down, and its receiver on the low-gain omni antenna.

To get a command into it telling it to go from reaction wheel to thruster control and to Sun pointing mode WE NEED MORE POWER, so I rewired it!
I'm going to yell commands at it with three 34m dishes, phase combined. Two with 20,000 W transmitters and one with an 80,000 W transmitter.

120,000 Watt Blowtorch!

Cool man, Bahrain is party central mate, kinda like Kabul, without the getting shot, and civi style. ;-)
Would be fun to catch up in person, maybe bring the zed out for a few cruizes or track days. Fun days ahead

Wow, cant believe this cargo trip hasnt been changed.. so yeah, tomorrow and the next day ill be in LAX, probably in a hotel near the main airport.

Probably not, it's just an excuse to leave work early and get drunk! Missed you by a few days - I was in the LAX international terminal a few days ago for a half-day layover.

haha.. very cool, i just found out i have a free shuttle bus to santa monica beach from the hotel, hopefully gonna jump on that around 2pm. Hmm, soo coors lite and millers lite aren't actually /lite/ beers.. just low carbs.. LOL
