For the first time I went to my first world-class level car show.... and it was downright amazing.

BMW Classic brought out a few cars from the garage.

The E26 M1's are so cool in the metal.
The F87 M2 is a star!!!
The E46 M3 GTR is very special.
The 2002's are fun and especially the Baur Cabriolet.

Two E9 3.0 CSL's are beautiful.

F82 M4 GTS is very impressive in the metal and one can see BMW M GmbH was serious about this car.

Two cars of note were the 507. Gorgeous to view under the morning sun with red paint.

And my favorite?

They brought out the damn E53 X5 Lemans prototype!!!!!

The engine bay is filled with Lemans racer V12 and that carbon fiber engine cover is special.

I was actually contemplating how I could steal it and get away with it.

Ran into Hans J Stuck twice. He was the Grand Marshal this weekend.

The BMW Classic people are outstanding and very gracious.

It is interesting to see some small details from older cars like the 507 in modern cars like the Z4.

And there were lots of people with BMW branded clothing such as hats and shoes but mostly polo shirts.

Pictures didn't load but I will add them.

The E53 X5 Lemans was a complete surprise to see.

I'm Sunday morning I was standing a looking at it quietly and then more people just showed up and just stood looking at it and not saying a word.

On Saturday the hood was not open but was on Sunday.

The carbon fiber engine cover is absolutely massive, and I really was trying figure out a way to steal it.

Just sitting in the sun quietly it has an ominous feel to it and the engine looks like power at rest.

It is simply awesome.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Love the 507. The steering wheel is quite a contrast to the very thick Z4M steering wheel.

That was the first 507 I have ever seen in the metal.

It's no surprise that it is referred to as the most beautiful BMW ever created.

They have already announced dates for next year.

It's already on my calendar as of this past Saturday night!

It's an amazing show and so glad I went. Two friends flew from Minnesota to attend and another drove from Minnesota which is 1,500 miles each way. He was very happy to attend.
