S54 Timing Tool/Moral Support Needed (SoCal/Irvine Area)

I posted this plea on BF too, but I figured I'd reach out to the Z guys too--

What started as a nice morning adjusting valves on my Z4M took a bum turn when I noticed the dreaded crack in my exhaust cam pulley. If anyone in the area wants to come hang out and learn with me, or better yet, has the timing tool to hold the cams locked and would be willing to loan/rent it out, let me know. A valve shim kit would be cool, too, but I was just planning on buying the shims I needed individually.

I'm ordering my TurboToy hub now. Looks like it's $700 bucks with a $50 core right now. Ouch. Oh well. As the girlfriend wisely told me, beauty comes at a price.

I'm working in a well equipped hobby shop with a 2 post lift. Happy to trade lift time for valve tool time! Also happy to provide beer to any members that want to swing by and provide wisdom or moral support.
