ESS VT2 525 installed

Finally after couple of years of thread checking and lots of research ESS VT2 525 order and installed.
Very happy with the result, although I am still in the break in period (only yesterday the kit has been installed) car is running without any hips or hesitation and feels really strong. Current set up with SS V1 stepped headers and 3.91diff.
After break in period I will dyno the car and keep you all updated.

Well done! Have you experienced any whistling noises when you get to the higher RPMS and changing gears?

can you make a video???

yeah the intercooler setup on this kit is a blessing and a curse in equal measure!! its a very nice setup and i love that ESS went to the trouble of A/A but my god its a pain in the ass to get right and you will probably be messing with it for a good while till its perfect.

Maybe consider loosing the blue vacuum line and replace with black, it makes a clean setup look alittle rough imo.

as i can see your not diverting air back into the intake, how about a video of the BOV sounds??

Thanks man. Up to now I have not crossed 4000rpm still at break in period (only 50Km done) as its been raining here a lot.
Whistling is caused from the manifold dump valve outlet which is going to air, open type (the ESS plastic inlet tube bypass is plugged)

I will make lots of videos and share it with you guys. Its been raining here so I did not have the chance to drive it a lot. A/A is the only way you were right.. my piping still needs some adjustment to be perfect, after the weekend I will try to fix it.
I still have the black one supplied with the kit incase I change my mind.
I was also a bit comfused and had to ask ESS in the beggining with the BOV but now the new plastic inlet tube bypass is plugged intentionaly in order manifold dump valve to blow into the air. I will provide video for your convinience.
Below picture of how it was supplied. I was told to remove pipe and let it blow on air.

mine diverts back into the plastic intake via that silicone elbow you have their.

i think you now have to specify you want it recircing now days, wonder why they chose to Vent from the off now? They always told me the car would run better with the air being looped back into the system.

Their v8 kits still recirc.

On side note those new VT BPVs look great!

This is what I thought, that is why I asked ESS about it. From my previous experience with turbochargers was always better to recycle the blow off to help you build up pressure. I dont know if ESS considers this as an improvement......... But I am telling you up to now I like the way it sounds, if performance is good then spot on. First chance i will post some videos so you get the feeling

The recirculation or venting off does nothing to performance with this kit.
Its just a matter of preference if you like the blow off sound or not.

Frankly i tested both and i felt that recirculating is better on the ears IMO and cleaner in the engine bay

This is correct. I noticed no change in performance when I went from a recirculating bypass to a venting BOV.

Very nice man, awesome setup!! I'm working crazy hours all winter long to hopefully have enough disposable income to pick up an SC kit of my own. Enjoy it!
