"Light bulb" warning
I feel a bit ignorant even asking this, but maybe someone could please give some guidance.
The "light bulb" lamp came on on my dash. I verified that all interior and exterior (low/high beam, turn signal, brakes, reverse) appear to be working. The only exception are the inner two headlamps. The outer headlamps work for both low and high beam. I'm not even sure what the inner ones do (hence my ignorance) I was praying it would just be a blown fuse, but I pulled every fuse that seemed remotely related to lighting and they were fine. Would this be an issue with the Xenon ballast or igniter? Or even the bulbs (2 simultaneously)? I think sadly I'll bring this to a mechanic, but thank you to anyone who can inform me. |

Use a proper scanner i.e. inpa, to see which bulb it's complaining about, may have a little corrosion on the socket. The inner bulb on the headlight is a dummy.

I had a similar problem with my car. It was one of the turn signals so it was very hard to diagnose because it would work once the turn signal (or flashers) were activated.

Thanks Nipsey. It did turn out to be the halo around the headlamp. Also they replaced an H21W bulb, which I must have also missed. And a broken rear spring which was causing a rear end "clinking" issue. Plus a brake fluid flush. Total expenditure: 730 CAD. I count myself lucky
