Fitment Compared to E46 M3
It seems like the E46 M3s and the Z4MC share similar abilities in terms of what you can/can't fit within the fenderwells without rubbing. Would it be fair to say that if it fits the E46 M3 it will fit the Z4MC?
Once I get a Z4MC, I plan to mess around with wheels and offsets to hopefully provide more insight into potential set-ups, but hoping for a decent understanding before I start throwing money around at wheel sets. Thanks in advance! Ryan |

Check out the sticky at top for tons of info and pictures on what will fit and what won't. I will say CSLs fit very well. ZCPs fit well if you get spacers in the front.
For more info, check out "definitive wheel spec" thread that's stickied.

I've been spending some time doing research, but my point is that it seems like if it easily fits an E46 M3, it seems like it easily fits the Z4MC. If it's aggressive on an E46 M3, it's aggressive on the Z4MC.
I'm just wondering if anyone's ran a set-up before that had been on an E46 M3 and it not fit the Z4MC. |

Honestly in my book I consider them the same fitment, but the e46M is slightly more aggressive.

Here's the breakdown.
I've tried the same wheels on a z4m and m3. I would say there is a 10mm difference in the outer fender. M3 can fit more. Also, in the inner fender, there is also about 5-10mm less clearance. But, the z4m can fit wider wheels up front, but not a lower offset. For example, I can run an 11" wide wheel up front (with stretch) while the e46 m3 can only barely run a 10.5 with the same fitment. However, the front varies depending on coilover setup. Also, everything varies on if you have rolled or pulled your rear fenders. |
