FS: Recaro Speed S custom ordered black suede w/ charcoal stitching *Price Reduced*
This is one of the items I have left. I had a feeling this will take the longest to sell since is a custom item done to tailor my size. I'm a taller guy (6'3) and didn't feel comfortable after 20min in the Z4M, I wanted to purchase after market seats that would give the Z4M a aggressive look and free up comfort space. Also didn't like the eye level and shoulder to window height, us taller guys look a bit doofy in the M coupe cause of that . Had custom steel brackets done by RPM NYC to go w/ the seats. The Recaro Speed S are very comfortable while tightly hugging you when you go around the corners, I had to wait two months to receive them since they were done in custom black suede w/ charcoal stitching. I hardly drive my M (8k miles) so this seats are practically new. The seats cost me $1600 and that was w/ a good deal. The brackets cost me $400 if you include all the labor since it was steel welding and custom fitting these seats to the Z4M. This is a $2,000 package, I'll let it go for $1100. Willing to ship as long buyer pays for the shipping, I have the original Recaro boxes. Paypal accepted but add 3% to total. Pm if you have any questions, thanks. How much weight savings did you get over stock? What did you do about the airbag light/occupancy sensor? The only thing holding me back from aftermarket seats is that I'd like functioning side airbags.

There's a airbag sensor fix I seen a lot of people do with BMWs w/ aftermarket seats. You just need a couple cheap things from Radioshack and viola the light is gone. |

Dammit, you're killing me. I'm 6'4" and have really been wanting new seats for a couple of years and keep talking myself out of it but this ad keeps drawing me in.
This may sound odd, but what are your personal physical measurements? Long legs or long torso? I've got a 36" inseam and would love more leg room, plus get seats where they don't hit my shoulder blades on the top part of seat. I end up with sore shoulders from it. What sucks is there aren't any shops near Chicago that Recaro lists on their website. Anyone know if the Z4M and regular Z4 share the same bolt pattern? I've heard the Z4M seats take away some legroom from the standard Z4, but those pictures above definitely look considerably lower than my Z4 seats. |

I'm 6'3 195lbs, my waist was 36 when I got the Z4M now is a 34. My main problem was the legs and how my back felt. These seats look kick ass but more importantly just creates room to move around and feel comfortable. The seats are a bit lower which created good amount of room and my knees have more separation from the dash. These seats slide back and forth and the back tilts back and forth. Even if you're much shorter you can adjust accordingly. I believe the bolt pattern is the same. |

I read this chain with interest. I have Z4 3.0 si coupe, with regular seats. I'm 6'4"- 35" waist, 36" inseam, 210 lbs. I drive this car only occasionally but have taken it on 3 hour drives with very little strain. Maybe its because I have the standard seats?
Those Recaros look sweet, just maybe they would compliment mine. |
