Question Z4 with 2JZ supra motor swap?

Hi Zpost community,

I've seen other bmw motors being swapped into the Z4 cars, but has anyone tried or succeeded in swapping a Toyota 2JZ (supra) motor in these Z4 models?

How feasible would it be to do this?

The answer to all these types of questions is extremely simple:

Yes, anything can be done if you throw enough money at it.

Big horsepower 2jz's aren't a great fit for the chassis unless you're looking to build a drag car. At that point there are many V-8 swaps going on that still have enough low end finesse to be called a sports car and still offer the big HP numbers.

You still will have to answer the why question repeatedly to everyone you show it to knowing full well you created a bastard child.

LS1 swap seems more appropriate. There's been a number of E46 swaps done a lot of the Z4 pieces are common to the E46. This guy shoehorned an LS1 into a Z3 so should be easy to do it in the Z4.

..but, Some of those bastard child car projects are the most fun to drive .

Also, I thought the Z4M chassis was one of the stiffest ever produced, so why wouldn't it be a good fit for big hp?

Why 2JZ? I drive a turbo 2JZ (tuned by me) and I'm a fan of the motor in general, hence my question asking if anyone has also attempted or completed this swap into a Z4.

I wouldnt doubt the feasablity of this the car is setup like the old supras and sc300s and such. Only concern i would have is the transmission tunnel being to small to take a 2jz transmission.

Do a few google searches, I bet some crazy european has done it.
