I'm going to drop a note in this thread to keep track of it. I own a 3.0siC and recently bought a Z4MC. I'm still in the infatuation phase with the M so no deep thoughts yet on the comparison beyond this: I really like the si but it has its small weak points; the M fills them, plus power! but it feels like it puts a price on those virtues. More as I add miles.

Out of curiosity, would you mind sharing what you paid for it (the 2nd time around)? I am debating selling my 3.0si coupe with 100k miles, and am curious about the data point. Thank you!

But it has 213km and far from perfect (scratches on both bumpers, non-matching old tires, etc). Still going strong on original engine, interior is very nice, and has M-sport package. Mind you it is 6 speed, so if yours is auto it will fetch less. Gotta put some TLC in it now What were you planning to sell for, out of curiosity? |

I just listed it for $13.5 us on craigslist.
The biggest issue is the seats- I added used sports seats roughly 30k ago, they were originally tan and were dyed black and could use some touch up, and both need new thigh support handles. I used it as a commuter over the past 60k miles, so neither issue ever bothered me. Other than a small scrape on the bottom part front bumper from the PO, it in great cosmetic condition. I saw one with 125k go for $13.5, so I used that as a starting point taking the seats into account. |

Haha let's resurrect this. It's been a tradition. It's story telling time
A lady ran a red light in 2018 and got my 3.0si coupe written off. I intended to keep this car forever, after I bought it a second time. I could have fixed it, but the insurance company refused to sell it to me. Damn them. Couldn't find a manual coupe, so I bought a Z4M roadster in 2020. Got a great deal from a guy in London. Great car, liked the roadster aspect of it (never had a roadster before). Then, I needed the money so sold it this spring. So far, I had a manual 3.0si coupe (twice, the same car), Z4M coupe and a Z4M roadster. All of these have been black on black with the exception of M roadster, which had a red interior for a change. My favourite color. So now, I had a change of heart and decided that money doesn't mean shit. So looking for a manual 3.0si coupe... Back to where I started. I guess what I wanted to say, any Z4 is a very cool car, and I loved all these cars, as long as it has a proper transmission! I would also buy a Z3 manual coupe, I never had one, given the decent price. Shoot me a line if anyone in GTA has a Z3 or Z4 manual coupe for sale! |

I am with you on this cult like attachment to the e86! I bought a silver on black 2007 si 6mt in 2009 and kept it 4 years until the spring of 2013. I sold it in the spring of 2013 when it only had about 40000 km for 25k! and have regretted it ever since! IN the spring of 2018 I came across a really nice 2006 Si coupe for sale in Sarnia, it only had about 50000 km and it was 6MT and silver on black and the asking price was 21k. I planned to see it on the saturday of that week but it sold the next day. I have been casually looking ever since, but havent' come across one. Hopefully both of e86 stories have another chapter |

My daily is a 328i 6speed E91. Also a good car, same N52. Right now, E86 is closer to 30k CAD in any shape and form, even autos... They go up in price consistently for at least last 7 years. Even E85 m roadster, got if for 23k, sold for 30k 2 years later |

the cayman is an amazing driver's car but I don't have the emotional attachment to it that I have for an e86, that car just speaks to me |
