Looks like extended leather.

08/04/2011 - 95,350 miles - Vehicle listed for sale in Darlington, SC for $23,995

So It's been on the block for a while. No exterior pics yet?

Black paint so maybe they are doing a super paint correction before posting pics. But for as long as it's been on sale you would have thought this would have already been done. Totally hypothetical on my part.

Listed in the M data base

I don't think I've ever seen an ad in Autotrader where there were 10 pictures and none of them of the exterior of the car. Maybe there's a reason for that. That's about as many miles as I've heard for an "M".

Maybe not. A company called Chicago Motors does this all the time - they'll post over 20 shots of the exterior, none of the interior, on Autotrader; their web site will have the interior shots. On other ads, they do the reverse. Whoever does their ads just grabs the first 20 pics, apparently. These guys are the same - they have plenty of exterior shots on their web page, and the car looks fine aside from a scraped fang.

Me neither, especially cars with higher mileage. Its usually all exterior, and none of the interior, and you'll usually never see one of the seat bolsters!

Ouch, so that's how little my car would fetch if I had to sell it.

I'm about to join the 90K+ club. My car's in better shape than that one but it has fewer options.

Good thing I'm keeping it.

Good to know that these machines can go the distance. I'm at 6K right now, so I have a ways to go to reach 90k+.

Nice. Hardly. I just picked it up and I'm waiting for it to arrive so I can start driving the hell out of it.

Why wouldn't these cars go 200K? There are a lot of E46M3's that are at that point and have had no major engine rework.

Good to know what I can expect in the future. I've never owned a BMW as long as I have owned other brands like Honda and Toyota, so I have yet to experience the reliability of these cars as many of you have. I'm looking forward to driving and enjoying mine for many, many years to come!

Mechanically, I believe BMW can produce reliable cars just like Honda and Toyota - but they just require more attention in terms of upkeep. As far as electronics? Well.... at least the Z's only have 2 window regulators
