Garage List
Flatstoppers or similar products

From another thread I found the raceramps website and was looking around and found THESE. Does anyone have experience with these or a similar product? Due to my current military posting, my car is being watched for by my parents and kept in their garage and will be there in storage for the next 2.5 years. My insurance policy for the car being in storage says the car can't be driven more than once every 6 weeks so I'm worried about my tires getting flat spots since my parents both work a lot and don't always have time to get the car out to stretch its legs. I had thought about putting the car on jackstands, but read somewhere that isn't always a good idea. These are a little on the expensive side, but cheaper than a new set of tires and they apear to be of very good quality.

Anyone have experience or have any information?

As long as the tires are kept properly inflated, I've not had any issues with flat spots, especially if the car is being driven every 6 months. I don't think modern day tires flat spot like the tires of yore did.

Besides, after 2.5 years of sitting the tires are probably gonna be dry rotted and you'll want to replace them anyway..

Modern tires don't flatspot.

If they do, drive them a mile and it will disappear.

I had my car in storage since August to May and my tires have been fine.
