2004 Z4 3.0i Sound System

Hi all!
The sound system is too '90's... (just 1 CD in dash board). What can i do about this? I have heard of the ipod system, but does it work well? How about the installation? Can sne with basic hand skills do it by him self?

for DICE Silverline, or USA SPec PA-11, or ipod on this forum...a lot of info out there!

If you don't have the CD changer you plug an iPod doohickey where that's supposed to go. You can also add in the AUX input, super easy. Also if you get a radio from a 2005+ it'll play mp3 CDs

Had my lovely 2006 Z4 for 2 years. Suddenly carrying out a CD check and failure for every CD. On entering car I sometimes hear the CD drive quietly spinning even before keys are in the ignition. Miss my sounds, any clues?

If you have the nav that cd sound could the map DVD spinning up.

Not got the Nav just a CD player refusing to read disks and turning itself off after reporting a CD Error. My problem is, its not so easy to just replace BMW factory fitted systems.

Yea it is, the headunit is easy swap out. Should be plug and play.

Try a CD lens cleaner first...

Guys. I have DSP HU. What are the available options to install ipod interface? I read somewhere that some products are not compatible with DSP???
