What sunshade to use?

I've been looking for a sunshade for the M Coupe. I've looked at the OEM ones, intro-tech and some others. I wanted to know what you guys use and if you would recommend something.

Here are a few that I've been looking at:

http://shop.autoanything.com/driving...A5833A0A0.aspx

http://www.mrzaccessories.com/produc...Sun-Shade.html

and the good ole BMW one

I have the BMW one and it works fine. The only drawback is that it is hard, and doesn't fit behind the seats like the flexible ones.

I picked up a Covercraft brand sunshade for my 5 series recently. cant speak for the fitment of their z4 version, but i'm happy with the one I have now on the dd. I bought off amazon.

I use the BMW one, covers the windshield perfectly, and fits behind the passenger seat nicely, so it's easy access. Only time it is difficult is if someone tall is riding with me and they push the seat back all the say, then you have to move it back forward to get the shade out, but that rarely happens so it's no big deal.

Thanks,

That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I definitely want something that will be easy to handle and store out of the way. My only reservation is the generic black "BMW" logo on the front. It could have been done better.

I have the OEM one as well. Fits perfect, thick enough to hold it's shape and not droop while in place, and folds up and can be put behind the passenger seat… though most of the time I leave it in the passenger footwell leaning against the transmission tunnel.

Yeah I wish the logo wasn't there, makes it look like you are trying really hard to make sure people know you have a BMW

I've used a BMW one in my M3 convertible for a couple of years and it has worked well and still looks brand new. The case is also nice and convenient and the BMW printing on it doesn't bother me at all anymore. The mylar/plastic/foam ones also work well (maybe a little better at reflecting heat, I suppose) but I don't think they'd last as long. I have one I have been using for about six years in another car which is still ok (other than the adhesive on the velcro strap starting to fail) but on the newer one in my wife's car the border is starting to separate. Since the pricing for the BMW sunshield is similar to aftermarket, I'll probably just get another BMW one for my Z4.

I thought I was doing fine with the "2-hoop" one. Folds easy and fits under the passenger seat. But it doesn't cover the A-pillars.
Just noticed tonight that the leather is bubbling up on the driver side A-pillar.
Oh, well. I was thinking of putting a gauge pod there, but I didn't want to mess up the leather. If it's going to mess itself up, might as well do the gauge pod.

I went ahead and ordered the Intro-tech one that folds. BMW wanted $20 shipping and tax for their sun shade. There's no way I'll pay that much for shipping when other sites have free shipping. I'll post some pics on fitment when my sun shade arrives.

I just bought the BMW one, off Amazon where the shipping was cheaper. Matched up part numbers so assuming it is the same one.

Another vote for the BMW one. I just store it in the truck, I don't use it super often, mostly just at work.
