what's the deal with 'dans decals'
Guys any experiences dealing with them? I placed an order 2 weeks ago, sent them emails, and today called and left a voicemail.
What's the deal? I'm about to file a fraud complaint with paypal to get my money back... |

Mine took about 2 weeks. Its been over a year and if I remember correctly they came in a plain white envelope US mail with no RA. Could of easily mistaken it for junk mail. Lots of guys here purchased them and I don't recall any issues with delivery. Some colors do match our cars better than others.

Do it right. Get a Factory Color match rattle can, remove the reflectors and paint it.

It's been over a year since I dealt with Dansdecals. I had no issues back then. Maybe he's just away on vacation.
The decals I got did not match the Interlagos Blue all that well. I got fed up with it and peeled them off eventually. I will be taking Phoenix's advice and paint them this summer.

Bavarian Autosports has color match rattle cans for BMW. Pretty easy to do. There should be some DIY threads floating around.

I tried to convince myself that it was ok and it was just perhaps under a certain lighting but when my wife commented "Why did you cover that thing?", I knew right there I was just fooling myself

I had the same issue with Imola Red. It did not match at all. I contacted Dan and he asked me to send a body part in for him to match. I never got around to it.

To paint these I would recommend some plastic adherer , primer, base coat and clear coat. I did mine this way and they looked great. Here is Chris DIY. I followed it to the letter and it worked great. I kept my oven temp to about 120 though and the door partially open.

Titan silver is passable, from a distance and a quick glance. But up close one can see the difference.

Got some in Alpine White about a year ago, custom size for non-M Zed. They fit great and the color match was pretty good. They seemed like nice folks to deal with. Maybe in Ft. Lauderdalle on Spring Break?

I bought decals from them twice. First time came in like 4 days. The second time i waited 5 days then I emailed them wondering the status and he had been away and shipped out the next day with apology so honestly I have no issue with them. They came through twice.

You will get your decals. I bought from him and had to send an email reminder after a couple of weeks. I think it's a part-time gig for him and not really a money maker.
In the end I was disappointed. I applied one of them badly and it always bugged me, so I had my reflectors painted at a local body shop. Cost was $100 and it looks WAY better.

I purchased decals from him a few months ago. After 3 weeks of no package and no communication I filed a dispute. I got my money back and a few weeks later the decals arrived
