Kwick Silver Wheel Repair
Originally, I was going to go with AWRS Wheel Repair to take care of a cosmetic issue on my Z4M rim, but after the guy stood me up for an appointment, and DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CALL ME BACK, I found a local franchise for KwickSilver wheel repair: http://kwicksilverusa.com/
My damage: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1833498 So far the rep. is going to try to spot repair my cosmetic damage, but worse case scenario is $125 for him to redo the entire wheel back to stock! I'm hoping the quality is there. When I dropped my car off, the local large BMW dealership just dropped off a brand new 2012 5 series to him. He does all the wheels for the local BMW dealership. So I figure if he is trusted by the dealership for repairs on a near 100k car with hyper silver wheels, hopefully he can fix my wheel! Will give photos and an update tomorrow when I get it back! |

Well, just got the car back.
Looks pretty good and good service. Turns out the wheel was professionally repaired 2 other times and he couldn't just do a touch up or else the paint wouldn't hold. So he stripped down the wheel, powder coated it, sprayed it with hyper silver, and then clear powder coated it. Looks about 95% stock, of course compared with the back wheel that looks a bit darker due to being dirty with brake dust. Overall, I'm very happy for what was done, the quality and the price of $150. |
