Am I the only one who had theirs factory ordered? I have no regrets at all paying full price because I got exactly what I wanted. Very worth it for me. It's the only vehicle in its class that I would do it for, actually. I will never get rid of it.

That answer was laughable. Their price is at or just below other 08 Z4M coupes? Which ones? I have never seen one priced any where close to $50K before.

Sure, i would not might paying full price 4-6 years ago for a brand spanking new car which i will put every mile on it. We are talking about a USED car here with some unknown thousand miles on it. Maybe, there wont be too many of these around at this low milage. From performance point of view, there are many better choices. From investment/collector point of view, one will never get anything back from purchasing this car. Sure, there are limited amount of Z4M out there but they are ot rare

A lot of us are second or third owners. Honestly, I don't really keep track, folks here are fun, helpful, and we're all enthusiasts, which is what does matter to me. You actually went a cheaper route than I did since I went through several cars before figuring out Mcoupe was the car for me. And I don't plan on getting rid of it either.

As for the price of this car, we'll have to see what someone will pay, it's interesting to see what the market will bear. I didn't buy my car as an "investment"--well, at least not financially--it's an investment in fun.

How many cars did you say?

Jokes aside, I bought my M with 5k miles for a pretty decent price, granted it's a 2006. Not to mention I am the 3rd and let me say FINAL owner.

I agree. Car is over priced IMO, but who cares...lol There is one somewhere for sale that has 800 miles and its like $41k.

I still think its a crime for a 22 year Honda NSX claiming $30k. Car is worth, $15k IF THAT, I know I have owned 3. LOL Its old technology, any way you dice it.

Anyway bump.

agreed, a bit offtopic, but I was cross shopping the nsx, and they're not even THAT fast when supercharged..

not to mention overpriced, or mostly come in "look at me!" yellow or red

Technology/performance is the least important when it comes to an older vehicle's market value. Classic Ferraris aren't that impressive on paper either but we know how much they can fetch. Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS's are way overpriced in today's market but they're hot and people are paying the money. Different strokes for different folks. The Z4MC will definitely hold a reasonable value, just like the S54 Z3MC does.

  • 1 of 1 in 2008 with Navigation
  • 1 of 2 ever with HD Radio

Sure it is rare, but $50K? Not even an Imola interior(which would make it one of the most desirable combo's IMO).

True. I see like 91 or 99 NSXs on the highway and they look like the Honda Accord with the same taillights and they are pretty slow IMO. I don't even bat an eye at them. If it was 1991, yeah I would be drooling but having had better cars makes you really realize that even a 2005 Honda NSX is not worth $92000.

The 270 hp ones are as fast as the Honda S2000 and we all know (having owned a modified S2000 for 6 years) that we will walk that car all day long and twice on Sundays. i just can't see paying $54000 for a 02 NSX. Just not worth it. Thats just how I see it. BTW we didn't pay that much for our old 02 NSX. We paid high $30ks.

Anyway back on topic.. Bump car is too much for Z4M .LOL

NONO, back off topic!--Where did you pay high 30K for a 02? I want!

But really, you're right--the market dictates the price. I've been secretly pining over a NSX for 2 or 3 years now, and the price on those have been creeping up. I would love to have that car, and it is one of the few "obtainable" cars which value is rising after the initial drop in price...Not bad when you think about it...buy a car, drive it for a few years, sell it for the same price.

Hopefully the z4m will do the same in 5-10 years. . .

I don't blame you. I loved the fact that I spec'd my MINI JCW exactly how I wanted it. Made it an excruciating decision to leave it behind when the time came, too.

If I could have afforded to factory ordered my Z4MC and pay what they were asking in 2007, I would have. Unfortunately, even if you consider some of the deep discounts seen in 2008, it was still beyond my meager civil-servant income.

As it is, I will have to live without the Imola Red interior and heated seats... (the only things I might have done differently).

Then again, I paid less than 50% of sticker price for VERY clean car that's arrow-straight and has low miles.

On topic, though: Amazing price. Seems the average is about 30-34 for models under 30,000 miles? Knock about $3000 off that for *relativly* higher milage models (60,000 +/-), or private owner vehicles? Sound about right? With 1000K on the clock... I could actually see it going for $40,000-42000 if they extend out the warranty for 5 more years (or was it 6?) and 100,000k like on the CPO cars.

Here is the link to the "comparable" used 2008 ultra low mileage coupe. This one is now in Hawaii and i think the guy wants to get his shipping costs out of the deal too. Good luck to both this guy and the 49,995 car. I sure hope it ends up going up in price like the NSX's but I'm afraid that technology will continue to move quickly and it wouldn't surprise me if the performance level of our cars get surpassed by $35k hatchbacks within a few years.

Yep. Alex (E for Effort) knows about the whole history as Krissi gave him the whole story first hand in person.

Probably. That's when we have to drop in a nice salvaged S65 with a S/C.

Just got to reading this thread and it is kinda steep, but... 1000 miles and with warranty until 2015? damn.

I got mine with 7K on it, immaculate condition for considerably less about 32K (2008 as well), but it is a roadster and doesn't have the goodies.

If I was set on getting a M coupe, then... I say get it, you will definitely not be disappointed by the car that's for sure. Mines a keeper as well, second and last owner.

I'm actually more leery of low mileage vehicles. They often don't have their annual or bi-annual low mileage oil change, and when they get driven they get driven hard. I was specifically looking for a car with more than 5k miles but less than 20k. Found mine with 9k on it, right now it's sitting at 15k
