id be interested in an x pipe as i already have section 3. BMS wouldnt sell me their x pipe seperately.

Can you tell us what makes the mufflers unique and what are the benefits of this design? If the end result is a kick-butt product with good gains, i'm sure people wouldn't have a problem with the price.

I cant tell you everything (copy cats out there) but I can tell you its a weird shape and is 4-way chambered.

Sometimes it gets complicated and sometimes its simple. In the case with the straight 6 motor, its very tempermental with exhaust changes. If a straight flow system worked, it would be easy. Its not the case with the Z4M though.

-Chris may have changed his mind on that. I know he sold a mufflers-only BMS exhaust to a SoCal owner. BMS wasn't going to separate the muffler and x-pipe sales because they couldn't guarantee 100% perfect fitment to the OE components. But compared to competitive brands the fitment is still good. Might be worth a call to him.

I also tried to get Chris to sell me an x-pipe but he didn't want to sell me one. I told him I didn't mind if it didn't fit perfect because I would have just have an exhaust shop do any small changes that it would need to fit but he was still reluctent to sell me one. I guess I am stuck with getting the SS x-pipe.

i really didnt understand why he wouldnt let me buy one, i said the same thing as you. only the whole package which is some $2500. ???? im going to call and ask again.

What's wrong with the SS X-pipe? Have the drop in TQ numbers actually been confirmed by back to back dyno?
