2003 3.0 Sport 5 Speed auto RPM ?
I was reading that there is a upgrade to the rear Dif to put in taller gears. I wondering if someone has done this to my car. The reason that I ask is because when I'm in 5th gear and doing 75mph I'm running about 2500+ RPMs. It seems a little high compared to my 04 X5 4.4 and my 06 750Li, they run about 2100 RPMs at 75. Can anyone give me some insight as to what there cars do at 75mph.

Fuel was cheaper in 03. Bmw avoided deep overdrive gears for better in gear passing ability. My 330i from 01 has a direct 1-1 5th gear and spins over 3000 rpm at 70mph . Thats the way they were.
