Blistein Bump Stops??
Did I read right that if I am replacing OEM with H&R springs and Bilstein shocks, I do not need bump stops up front???
I was pretty obvious that the stockers were not going to fit on the Bilsteins and then I read they were not needed - but now I am beginning to wonder if that was right???

So far - I am very impressed. I was worried about the lowering and how it might make me drag more, but so far I am dragging less since my shocks were apparently pretty shot. The ride is great and the body roll is almost nothing. I was driving in circles and hitting the brakes hard at speed to get everything seated in and the nose just would not dip.
So far I likey.......

The rear is getting lower than I expected. May have to rethink the thicker rear shock pads. Someone was saying that you wind up with double what you put in which makes no sense to me? Like you add a 15mm, but it winds up being 25-30mm??
Not sure how that would happen?

OK - that make sense. I may want to add some to the rear of mine as it is lower than I expected. I was trying to find where I saw that. I don't think it claimed it raise it double, but it did say it was more. If I went with a 15mm, that would give me about 10mm more than stock and 2/5ths of an inch would be about right, but 4/5ths might be too much. Looks like it might be something like 3/5ths.
Good to know.

Now I know I need the bigger spring pads. My rears are now 5/16" lower than the fronts - exactly what I was hoping the H&R would not allow happen. Glad I did not go with the Eibach or they would be even lower in the rear.
I need .3125" higher to get the rear even with the front, so the 15mm would get me there with a shade over (add .393701"), but reading that adding those could actually be about double, the 15mm may add .787422" back in which would get it just under 1/2" higher than the front. Hate to add height back in when I just lowered it, but to get the stance I want I guess I will have to! Crazy!

Yes - I want the front lower than the rear. I don't track and I prefer the car to have a little front o back rake. Not a ton - just a bit. Just for appearance.
Yes - your numbers are right, but the OEM pad is 5mm, so swapping it for 15 would only increase the height 10mm - not 15. If that makes sense?

Right - I think that will do it. The rake does not have to be huge, it just really looks odd (to me) with the rear wheel tucked into the wheel wells farther than the fronts. Not a look I prefer and the exact reason I bought the H&R's instead of the eibach - and still got it. I even put all new pads in when I did it to help keep that from happening.
I ordered the 15mm last night, so we will see. Got spacers coming too, so I will do it all at the same time. Always something............
