Raspberry Pi
Hi All.
I wanted to start the discussion if anyone has used a Raspberry Pi to interface with the Z4 infotainment system. I recently found the pibus link, and have been thinking about it a lot. This system allows for movies/music to be played from USB, Bluetooth or even Wifi. Ideally it should allow the iphone to swap to the cars Bluetooth for calls. http://pibus.info/ Has anyone here used the Raspberry PPi to interface with the Z4?

Subscribed.
I have 3 Pi's connected to TVs around the house running Kodi and Exodus. Never thought about putting one in the car. A little OT: Just discovered Motor Replays add-on for Kodi. Now I can keep up with Formula 2 (GP2), Blancpain GT, DTM, WEC, etc.

I have a pibus board (for quite some time now and one or 2 rpi's lying around or so) but havent come around to fit it in the car.
I'm probably not going to use it for in car audio entertainment though. (I mainly want to use it for ibus control, not quite sure how I'm going to implement it)

Interesting. If not here, I'd hazard a guess that the BMW E46 crowd has likely cracked this and got it up and running. Should not be too far off from a Z4 application.

yes they are mainly sold to e46 owners, the maker of it is very active in this community..
On e46fanatics theres a million page multiple years topic on this. There is difference in e46 and z4 integration. For instance, the e46 nav has more buttons than the z4 nav prof
