^haha, i see tt i'm somewhat of a 'bad' influence i've quickly gotten used to the new clutch stop and have it adjusted to right after the magnetic switch engages for starts. it's almost perfect for my rev-matching and has noticeably reduced my time between shifts. and waaaay smoother, u'll love it once u get used to it.
as for the rpi's, i guess there aren't any alternatives really to gauge how they compare against other aftermarket setups. i've heard supersprint sport mufflers in-person and they're much more toned down and civilized. i promise tt once u get used to the rpi's, u won't be able to live without them. |

Im strongly considering getting the RPI exhaust as well but I believe they are only mufflers and produce an estimated 7 hp is there any full cat exhausts out there that sound as good as the RPI but produce more power? I got to test drive my friend's M coupe with RPI exhaust and I was very impressed.

^phil, elliot's also based in san antonio and he's drove my car a couple of times to see how the rpi's are. if u're looking for substantial power increases (+20hp or so), then headers are ur best bet. u can source from ebay, supersprint or active autowerke. supersprint and rogue engineering also sell modified x-pipes tt will net u a bit more power. of course, all these will change the tone of the exhausts whether u have rpi's or not.
diokaef on the forums here is also bringing to market a huge selection of exhaust components for the z4m's, so definitely worth looking at! |
