Nope, no light, think of it as always being on. Just flick the stalk to set and cancel as desired.
I use it constantly.

That is one of the things I love about this car. Simple and it works. Don't have to hit a button, not annoying light in your face. Push forward to set or accelerate , pull back to slow down, and up and down to cancel. Very intuitive and easy to use. Love it.

you kind of just have to go by feel. I would like to have some kind of light on the dash as well, but in these cars I would rather have the needles light up.

In most other BMWs that do have a light all it does is indicate "yep, cruise is on" and not that its actually engaged.

Funny thing. My previous car was a family sedan and I used the cruise control all the time. I hardly ever use it when driving my Z. I think it has something to do with the fun factor.

I seldom use it because I don't know what to do with my right foot.
In my Suburban I just put my foot on the floor, but in the Z I have to hover it over the pedal, which makes my ankle really stiff after a while.

I tend to cross my right foot over to the left and under my left leg when cruising with the side of my foot on the floor. If I feel like I might need to brake then I'll move my foot back, but for long boring highway drives I tend to do that. I'm 6'1" so there isnt much else to do.
