Thumbs up BMS Z4 M exhaust is ready!

As the title states, BMS has finished its exhaust for Z4 M Coupes and M Roadsters. Using a combination of Magnaflow and scratch-built components the exhaust comes in Stage 1 (mufflers) and Stage 2 (mufflers and x-pipe) configurations. Both are hand-made and fit as good as they look!

For more details and photos I suggest starting on PAGE 16 of my Z4 MC Mods thread, and keep on going. Also, feel free to respond here with questions. Here are two quick pics:

The Stage 1 systems retail for $1,599, and the Stage 2 system retails for $1,998. You can also order the x-pipe by itself if you want a little more sound out of your stock exhaust or another aftermarket muffler-only system. It retails for $499.

BMS is offering a group buy on the Stage 2 systems for the first 10 Z4 M owners to sign up on this GROUP BUY thread. The group buy price for the Stage 2 system is $1,898! So if you're serious about dropping some weight, adding sizable midrange power with no software, and having a great sound, sign up NOW!

I honestly didn't know there was a significant demand for exhaust for the 3.0L Coupe. But it certainly wouldn't be any great difficulty to produce it, it just takes time (a car, and a few weeks) and money to jig it.

The bumper is stock. I just had it wrapped with flat black vinyl to test a theory.

If they are in the market for making and jigging exhausts, I may be interested in one for a 3.0i .

-Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I got slammed and forgot about the thread until yesterday. I called Chris and he's interested in doing an exhaust for the 3.0s - especially if it will bolt to both Roadsters and Coupes. He wants you to call him (714-429-0257) and go over details.

-Good to know. Assuming things go as planned, it would be good to have a Roadster around to test fit the 3.0 Coupe exhaust on.

Does installing the BMS mufflers require cutting the stock units and welding them on? Or are they simple bolt-on?
Any sound clips?

-One hundred percent bolt-on. They fit to the stock system perfectly, whether you get the Stage 1, Stage 2, or x-pipe a-la-carte.

For vids/sound, check post #5 HERE

-BMS will custom make exhaust for any car (even non-BMWs). Just call Chris (714-429-0257) and ask him about it. I would think a 2.5 system would be a lot cheaper because a lot of the complexity of the M system is getting the alignment of the four tips perfect.

-So you just want an open-pipe cutout? That's easy enough. I don't know if it will do anything positive for your HP though. In our testing the ECU cuts power if the exhaust flow gets too fast.
