2003 z4 compartment issue
Hey guys,
Not sure what happened but my comparment beside the seat cannot open anymore, it feels like its locked but I have never found a button or anything to lock that comparment. When i press it nothing happens and I'm stuck now as to how to open it. Its worked fine all these times! Oh... and I'm pretty sure my alternator has gone... sigh. All my warning lights are coming up and I lose power steering so... its time for a new alternator.  |

There's an emergency pull string in the trunk, disguised as a hole plug, directly behind the storage compartment.
My P.O. apparently had trouble with the lock. The motor is unplugged. I decided to leave well enough alone and not plug it back in.

There is a lock mechanism that engages when you lock the car. It may have broken or gotten stuck locked. Also do the through the trunk thing StickMon mentioned. It should be in your owners manual I think too.
