Good Ol' End-of-Year purchases
Let's get this thread going for all those end-of-year wish lists and spend all that money we don't have!!!!
I've done really well so far this year waiting til the end of my current TDY to be over so my stuff isn't sitting around the post office the whole time. But now that it's officially November, I've made my lists, touched base with the people I need to touch base with and now play the waiting game for my actual return to put it all together!!! I'm just at 60K so I'll be doing a full on inspection/maintenance. Already bought and waiting at home: CSL Headers DKF Section 1 Just bought Powerflex RTABs Superflex FCABs (thanks again Ian for that find!) Waiting on possible holiday sale prices Turner- H&R coilovers Turner Camber Plates Rear control arm upper and lower inner bushings Rear trailing arm ball joint ECS- 2-piece front rotors Drilled/slotted rear rotors Akebono Pads Oil change kit Drain plug Cabin Filter NGK plugs Evolve- CSL Airbox w/ tune Gonna rent a shim kit from a guy here and do the valve adjustment Things I need to inspect when I get back Power steering system Belts Battery (most likely get a lighter one if this one is dead dead) That's all I can think of right now. Merry Christmas to me! Merry Christmas to me! WOW that was quick! I placed the order for the FCABs then came over to make this thread. Just got the dispatch email that they've shipped already.

no big plans for me...... still mulling things over.
"Superflex FCABs (thanks again Ian for that find!)" Thanks, but someone else made the original find; I just took the 1st plunge.

Waiting to see if Evolve has a holiday sale on their airbox or if ESS has one on their blowers. However, I think that I am probably done modding. Dont even drive the car much anymore, yet not willing to sell it until those pesky 997 TT's come down in price.

Expect to receive the Evolve airbox next week. Was just notified it entered the USA and is clearing customs. That will make it 8 weeks since I forked over the cash. So, good luck with expectations of a sale if they have that kind of backlog.
Once it gets here, the installation and fun begins. First the euro headers and euro cats. If no cels, on to the airbox and the tune. Just did a Lukas 7900 black box. Those are the neatest tech gadgets! Sound reproduction is a little muted, but still audible, and the video is outstanding. Comes with Korean manuals but the English (and 7 other language) versions are downloadable. Highly recommended for someone wanting a combination of security and video recording, only $200. Good for another year after that.

Might look into new wheels if I find something I like with a good price. I missed my chance last year to get a deal on some MORR VS8.2 and now they stopped making them. Maybe some coilovers too if the prices are right.

Just bought some fresh oil. I still have the oils for the gearbox and trans that I bought last fall but didn't have time to swap out before winter. I've been keeping it inside my home.
I'll likely order new brake pads to replace the OE ones. They are still fine but I hate how they squeal like pigs when the temp is under 50F. Not sure if I should change out the rotors as well. Rotor thickness is still good and I have ~33k on the clock. Thoughts?

I did all my major mods last year. I'll just be doing general maintenance, cosmetic refreshments, and installing the remaining parts I have sitting around.
1. Front bumper brackets. 2. Front bumper respray with reflector holes and washer caps filled in. 3. Headlight restore x 2. 4. PDR attention. 5. Install M seats and gauge pod into the non-M. 6. Repair auto-dimming mirror in the M. 7. VF retune of the non-M. 8. Cats in the non-M. 9. Refinish ARC-8's. 10. Weather strip and cowl replacement. 11. Full detail of both cars.

Hmm, nice lists everyone, some quite exhaustive (no pun intended) there.
My list... Well, completed list and to be installed list. Completed... Rear subframe bushings (front) Rear subframe bushings (rear) Front differential bushing Rear differential housing Front differential flange Rear camber arms Rear trailing arms bushings Rear wheel bearings Front wheel bearins Engine oil pan gasket Engine valve cover gasket Spark plugs profile gasket (if needed) Front swaybar endlinks LSD differential oil (1 box) And turns into this... Rear subframe refurbishment Front /rear wheel bearings replacement Engine oil pan gasket repalcement Diff rebuild Alignment And in the post.... H&r springs Bilstein HD shocks/struts (front/rear) Tranny and engine mounts RSM's 15mm spring pads And needed... Draks!!! Bloody rhs interior b-pillar cover (damn shop/employee stole it where my work was completed-rather disappointed at that actually) All up, quite a bit, budgeted around 6.5k us, but no tax here, so can't wait for the tax man. Also our company doesn't have bonus anymore.. Well I haven't seen one in the last 2 years, even though we made more than 1 billion us profit last year alone.
