2003 z4- floor board vent stuck or clogged?
Hi, my air conditioner works fantastic! Heater too! But, the center and defrost vents work fine, but the floor vents don't open. I know the air is blowing down there, because I can hear it, but it sounds like it's blocked. Any suggestions?

The only thing I can think of is the knob on the left (or right in america?) that tells the air where to go might be set to the top vents only - have a play around with that switch with the fan going a decent speed so you can feel the air with your hands from each vent (top ones near the winscreen, ones on the dash pointing to you & the ones under the dash on your feet)

I did that, you can't feel the air coming from the bottom vents, but you can hear like a whistling sound. Like it's not opening. Are there solenoids that move the vents or is it more mechanical?

Pretty sure it would be solenoids but I could be wrong.
I guess it might be time to get a screwdriver and take apart some of the dash to see what's happening under there |
