Custom Car Cover
Do anyone use these?
Looking to grab a cover that has some padding for storage to protect from scratches/dings/dents from people walking around it. Thoughts? |

Door ding protection? http://www.roadstersolutions.com/pag...MYnBoC5orw_wcB Or you can DIY the same concept with a regular cover and some of those pool spaghetti noodle foam thingies the kids play with, hanging them from the windows under the cover. Or even http://www.doordefender.com/, which my wife actually uses occasionally on an E90, but they may now be unobtanium in the US.

I got one from the previous owner - a really nice 300 dollar california car cover. It's like a very nice comforter lol.
I only used it once when I was leaving for a trip overseas - it kept the car nice and clean and safe. Only thing you have to be careful is to never put it on except right after washing the car - otherwise you will get a bunch of scratches. I think it would make sense if the car is not going to be used for a while. Otherwise it's too much hassle. -gc |
