No check engine light,

In the current header setup there is 5 things,
4 o2 sensors, 2 pre and 2 post cat, and 1 EGT sensor,
So the US header has 5 ports/bungs in them

The Euro headers in comparison only have 2 ports/bungs in them,

What you do is place your 2 pre cat o2 sensors here in these holes,
The remaining 2 post cat sensors get relocated to after our secondary cat pipe which is already here on US cars,
The EGT gets relocated to "just" before the secondary cats (which with the euro headers now become the primary and only set of cats)

So your DME is still getting real time data, just a little bit more downstream of where it usually collects its data,
You can modify a US cat pipe, by adding the o2 and egt bungs in the correct place,
Either do this yourself which was my plan, Or take it to a muffler shop to weld in,

and thats it, Full Euro spec exhaust with no CEL

(oh and not to get everyone excited but I accidentally bought TWO sets of Euro headers so I shall be selling a set once they come stateside so watch this space )

I think you would still need to extend them. If you look up the euro 02's and egt, they are longer. I was going to order them. At 250 a piece for the 02's, 295 for the EGT and a 3 to 4 week wait, I decided to the ones I had.

I ordered my Deutsch connector kit from summit racing online.

How many pins do you need per connector?

I have a few 3 pin ones laying around, Not sure if that will be enough,
And where do you get the black round one from the engine loom? Cut it off? Or cut it off the sensors?

I'm assuming you can't buy those blanks,

You need four pin connectors for the 02's and two pin for the egt.

The round connectors I cut off from the engine loom side. I did this so that if a sensor goes bad, it will just be "plug n play" for new OEM sensor. If you cut off the sensor side, you will have to modify the sensor every time you put a new one in.

I have pictures of the install im my mod journal to give you an idea. I also have several more photos if you would like anything more specific.

Nice, I almost tried that. Looks like a I should have because it would have been less work

Yup

I doubt my write up will be as cool buy essentially we are doing the same thing,
The Z4M euro parts seem to be a little hard to come by, so I think most will adapt the modding of the US pipe route,

Either way its an awesome way of adding headers that only a few people seem to have done,
