Possible to hookup rear parking camera to Idrive screen?

Always wanted a rear parking camera to help with the parking (plus, it's just pretty cool) Anyone know if I'll be able to hookup a rear camera directly to the Idrive screen? That would rock. :rocks:

of course, anything is possible.... as long as the idrive screen can function like any other in-car dvd screen, then you can hook it up to a camera.

That looks awesome. Gonna look even better in the Idrive screen cuz it doesn't look tacked on like those screens.

Reversing Camera & DVD system

Hi,

I have a European accessories brochure for the E90 and it has a "Reversing Camera", a "Retrofit Kit Monitor" and a "Front Camera".

From the pictures it looks like the screen is intergrated into the ventilation duct in the centre console.

Irish prices star at €544 for the reversing camera, through to €882 for the front camera.

The brochure also has a really cool "BMW portable DVD system" which is described as "A docking station intergrated in the roof lining on a level with the driver and front passanger's seats accommodates the portabe DVD player". It also goes onto say that you can plug in a game console or a video camera, and it plays MP3's. It also comes with 2 cordless stereo headsets. It is available in Europe from September 2005 and prices have to be confirmed.

Jayo, is this the BMW portable DVD system you're talking about? That's so cool.
