August's 2011 Ice Cream Social will be held on the 17th at Tulmeadow Farm in West Simsbury, CT. Just minutes from Avon, CT, on Rte. 309, this family farm has been operating since 1768. Adapting and expanding throughout the years, in 1994 they decided to explore the new market of farm-made ice cream. With their commitment to make a premium homemade ice cream using fresh quality ingredients, they achieved success, especially with their signature flavor, Red Raspberry Chocolate Chip.
