What's up, everyone?

Hey, my name's Reuben. I'm new to the site and just picked up my first BMW last month from San Jose, CA. I've been an M enthusiast since the Z3 Roadster/Coupes came out in the late 90s. I knew that one day, the keys to an M would be in my hand and that day has come. I picked up a 2008 Alpine White Z4 M Coupe with an Imola red leather interior (premium package). Seriously blown away by how much fun these things can be. Couldn't have made a better decision. Only thing I'm in need of is an owner's manual. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm interested in meets and general discussions about these beautiful machines. Thanks for the welcome. Hope to hear from you guys. Take care.

_Reuben

Congrats on the purchase, nice looking ride...

Check the links below for PDF version of 2007 M Owners Manual, unfortunately they don't have an '08 version yet at this link.

http://www.bmwsections.com/docs/

Also there is a download section here at the site that I know has an M supplement to the owners manual.

http://www.zpost.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=82

I'm sure someone with an M may have a link to an '08 version.

Congrats Reuben. My first BMW too and loving the M Coupe.

I'm in the same camp, needing a manual as well. I have the PDF versions.

Zer0xity,
When I purchased mine from the dealer (CPO) it did not have all the manuals. They ordered a complete new set for me but I already had the manual for the 3.0 car which is the base manual for our cars, the M portions are additional manuals.

I have a brand new 3.0 manual that I don't need if you want it. I would PM you but it does not list that as an option.

Just let me know if you are interested.

@ WhoU4: thanks for the links, I'll check those out. I have a PDF from BMW's website but it just has all the service schedules and warranty information. Nothing about the functionality/features.

@ jbh: Thanks for the offer, I might have to take you up on that if I can't find anything else. The Z4 3.0 manual shouldn't be too much different from the M, I'd imagine. Do you have the onboard computer?

@RBull: hey if you have the PDF, would you mind emailing it to me?

my email addy is: zer0xity@gmail.com (that's a numeral zero, not a letter O). That'd be awesome.

@doozyj: Thanks! Carbon trim.

@Diokaef: I don't think I'll mod it until the warranty expires. I'm at about 23,500 miles, bought it at 22,900x.

Thanks for the welcome, guys! Happy motoring!

Great find - you have got 1 of 6 '08 coupes with AW, IR leather, and the premium package. What is the interior trim - the carbon black leather? 2008 was a low number year to begin with - something like 398 M coupes for '08. If you're thinking about a keeper car, this might be one. In any case, great car, they wear Alpine white better that almost any color, IMO of course

true that, alpine white on imola red is a very difficult find and, from my shopping for an M, seem to cost more on average. definitely a keeper!

@ onebluemcm: how'd you find out there's only 6 in that color combo/package? crazy me, i didn't like the combo when i first saw the pictures on autotrader but it quickly grew on me. especially when i saw her in person.

@ all: thanks for the compliments and information on the owner's manual. by the way, i do have the PDF with all the service/warranty information from the official bmw site that's been posted on this thread but i don't have one for the car's features/settings, etc. nor do i have the booklet on GPS (don't really need it since my phone's GPS is much better) or the bluetooth function (which would be handy, especially in PDF). any info on that would be awesome.

happy motoring, guys!

Beautiful M coupe

If you have any interest in taking her out for a track day, let me know. I grew up in the Auburn area and have a lot of friends and family all ver Nor Cal.

There are a lot of good driving schools out there. I am doing a track event at Thunderhill in September with a couple of family members and some friends. It's a great time even if you just go to ride along with others.

Congrats on the M.

New ///M

Congrats on the new car.
I'm seriously jealous of the red interior. Mine's black and hot here in Dallas.
I guess you know how rare that car is....I've heard around 1,900 made in the US. Is that about right?

1801 e86's exactly, with 14 prototypes in addition to that.

also, i'd suggest window tint? i've 35% sides and rear (front windshield is completely bare) and it's made a relatively big difference temperature wise for my all black interior. sunshade upfront and it'll be just fine even if ur car sits out in the baking texan heat all day.
