Coolant Flush?

I went through the Z4 warranty and maintenance booklet, I noticed the 4 year 50k miles manufacture maintenance package does not include a coolant flush. Stating the coolant is a "lifetime coolant", and no change is necessary.

I just did the 55 point inspection at my dealer (Parkview BMW in Toronto), they recommended a coolant flush. Is this normal? or should I throw the book at them and tell them to replace the coolant under warranty?

You should flush your coolant every two years....I've never heard of a "lifetime coolant" but I'm not surprised with BMWs free maintenance or lack of....

Lots of times the dealers will recommend maintenance that isn't required maintenance. It's good for their pocket book. Nuff said.

i say throw the book at them and get a free coolant flush. theyre the ones who opened their mouths and tried to get money out of you so i would use the book to my advantage lol
