Swapping seats.
I am interested in swapping my immaculate power/ memory and heated leather sports seats with your regular seats, power/ memory and heated. Must be equally blemishes free and sag free.
Would prefer Southern California, Orange County candidates. Cheers... |

I'm not in OC, but for the swap I could be convinced to drive down from Thousand Oaks. Honestly though I suspect you'll have a line of volunteers before long...

There are only two seat styles for the Z4, it's regular or M Sport

It's a bit confusing; the std seats were (are?) referred to by BMW as "sport seats". The seats with the enhanced bolstering were later made available as an option in the std Z4 lines and referred to as "M Sport". I believe these are the same seats which are std in the M series cars.

My seats in question are the leather sports seats with the expandable front bottom cushion. Kind of like three bottom pieces, two fixed and the front expandable. The backrest and headrest are all one piece.
Whether they're called sports M seats or just sports seats, I don't know. BTW. I just saw a demo 08 Z4 SI with 6000 miles, just like mine, at my local dealer with the one piece flat bottom seat commonly referred to as regular or standard. I guess they were always available as standard issue up until the last in line. |

Humm so you have sat in the "regular" seats and they are more comfortable that the M seats ?
I thought that were about the same except for the upper shoulder boosters and expandable leg extension. I wanted to upgrade my seats to the M's but I guess if they aren't as comfortable as what I have now, I might not. |

Each to their own. I find the M seats to be more comfortable in back/torso support, but less comfortable in the way they pinch my thighs together (though in a racing situation with a lot of lateral g's I can see why they're superior). I tend to sit inside the bottom of the M-seat, but on top of the bottom portion of the non-M. This gives me room to rotate one or the other thigh with a slightly bent knee, which really aids in my comfort on longer trips. On balance I would probably still switch to M's if given the opportunity, but both the M and non-M have their merits in terms of comfort.
