Used car pricing help
looked at a car today, non bmw dealer got it as a trade in, 2005 2.5 non certified (step, sport pkg, heated seats, power top, leatherette) 23,100 miles for $21,900. what would you offer? Based on the market I'm thinking 17,000 and negotiating up to maybe 18,500 not sure on that though.

I do not think there is anyway you can get a 2006M for 25k at least not certified by BMW i just went thru that here in florida they also do not offer any deals for finacing since there is such a limited quatity of these cars available. All other 2006 certified are at .09 and 2.9 etc for fiancing. All the 2006 z4Ms with at least 26,000 miles are going for 32k and up around here. There are a couple of odd ones out there for less but they are really strange combinations of colors, options and very high milage and not certified.

I love the m's and was actually looking to buy a low mileage cayman/boxster s, but just couldn't bring my self to spend the money. I'm a cash customer so 18,000 and 26,000 is a bit off. Don't really want to spend another 600+ a month for a car I drive less than 10 miles a day....now a 23 ft center console bay boat is another story

action value for this car is roughly 15.8K (mannheim), I recently traded in my car (05 2.5i 34.5K mi same options as the one in question but 5mt, leather seats, and aftermarket HID's - yea i know the original buyer should have just spec'd premium pkg) and got right around there. 17K is a fair offer. I woudln't pay any more than 17.5

However as far as driving dynamics go, IMO its light years ahead of the non M Z4. Haven't had a chance to drive the Z4M on any windy roads (have only test driven) so I can't really comment on that. Overall its a very basic car, has a wonderful mechanical feeling that i enjoy. All in all I'm very happy with it. Got a good deal on it too, 6 digit discount on a leftover 08 with 17mi on it. PS: I do have the chrome tips for a 2.5i for sale, really a very nice finishing touch for that car: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265985 |

I bought my 2005 2.5 (33,000m) for $17,000 from a VW dealer last month. Black/Red,5-speed, leather, pwr seats but no heated seats. Sitting up at dealer for 3 months.
