I thought mine was indoors for good. It was 40 degrees yesterday, the rain washed away the salt and the roads are nice and dry out today. Although the temps have dropped down into the 20s I took the car out to the dealership to get the N52 ticking taken care of. It's nice and sunny out! I couldn't resist.

A great feeling, especially as that cold air gets sucked into the engine!
Agree about the road salt.... just one good rain away from "not an issue"

We way oversalted for the pittance of snow we've had so far. On some roads, and especially my company's parking lot, it's almost sounds like you're driving on gravel.

To mark the two month anniversary of my car going into storage, the forecast here is for 20cm of snow and high winds tomorrow, making for a nice close the schools snow storm. And, I expect it will be another three full months before I get back in the M sport seat and turn the key to hear that big straight six roar to life once more.

We are supposed to get 8" tomorrow so I guess my Z is officially in hibernation now.

Thanks, I think we are at about 4" already. Not looking forward to the drive home, too many stupid people. Luckily the 4wd in my truck can handle just about anything I have thrown at it before so I am not too worried.

Have you got snow tires on? Much better with those.

Can you leave early, or stay a bit late to avoid the folks who can't drive in snow?

Drive my M in the snow once when I first bought it coming home from work after it snowed while I was at work. It was an absolute terrifying experience. I just remember slowly coasting down a hill and the rear of the car swinging left and right. My old Z4 non M got driven in snow all the time. I got stuck frequently and it was not safe at all, but I kept refusing to get a second car. One trip in the M in the snow was all it took to convince me I needed a 4x4. So I got a used Pathfinder. I have the kind of job that never closes regardless of weather and I have to get there on time no matter what (I'm a pharmacist). The snow we got here in PA a few days ago would have made the M a death ride. But it's not stored, I will drive it when it dries out.

My truck only has snow tires on. It hardly gets driven otherwise (unless going to tailgate somewhere). It is very capable in just about everything thankfully. My car is sleeping.

I haven't driven my Z in the snow. Probably never will. I've got a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 115,000 miles that I've had since 2001 that I use as my winter car. I don't want to risk destroying my Z so I stick with this Jeep and keep making repairs on it. Engine works great but bow I need one of the window motors done and possibly the diff. There goes my new rims.

It hit 63F here yesterday. I was sort of regretting storing my Z this winter, but then coming down an off-ramp from the interstate I saw the ramp had an excess of that salting liquid they spray everywhere. Not sure that would be a good thing to have all over the car. Still, every day this week would have been good Z weather.

I locked up my snow tires in front of a cop today at an intersection (hard braking downhill before turning on yellow). Raised my arm up and did my best "Please don't pull me over bro" face

hahahahah

Last winter hear in PA was terrible with snow. I only had my M Roadster and was renting cars to get to work. This winter I bought a 4x4 used truck and... hardly any snow. Two snows only here in PA. Have been able to drive the Z almost all winter

You are lucky, my car has been in storage since 21 November. Just last week alone, we had almost two feet of snow here. I figure I may get her back on the road by mid-April if I am lucky.
