Gone for the winter
She went into storage today. Not bad out today, so she had a long run at speed before I put her up. Then stabilizer, battery out, covered, and locked away.

I know the feeling. I keep delaying mine. I guess I am just waiting for the first snow to put her away

I feel your pain. Mine's been put away since mid-October. I regret it. We've had the mildest November in years. Wish I had kept driving my Z. With my luck, we'll have the longest winter and I won't be able to take the Z out until late April.

If you guys ever have a meet in Niagara Falls in the Spring/Summer, I'm there. I miss my car so much that I set pictures of my car as the default wallpaper when I log onto computers at work.

I think next year that will be my strategy. Until there is snow or salt on the road, my car will be used. Better choice would be to pick up and move to Texas or the Carolina's where the taxes are bearable and the weather is better.

I have two reasons for storing mine. One, the roads here suck in the winter. Any snow blows around and around and keeps the streets icy for weeks. So driving in snow (and having to invest in another set of snow tires) is out of the question. Two, we have a two-car garage. The first winter with the Z I kept it in the garage and my X5 sat outside. That sucked royally. The seat heater was inop, so I'd get major butt frostbite every morning and the bitter cold wreaked havoc on the vehicle. Ever deal with a frozen oil/water separator? Not fun. So last year I stored the Z and had a nice comfy X5 to climb into every morning.

Sometimes its tough in Georgia. The temp drops to the mid 50's and I put the top on to keep her warm.
Trying to decide which shorts to wear for Christmas

p.s. I put my baby to rest a few weeks back after the first snow fall...but kinda wish I had it out...as overall as cold as it has been (warmer than normal) the snow has been kept as bay mostly. But the darn streets get icing from the just above or just below freezing temps.

Cold out but still no snow on the ground and weather has been dry. I'm tempted to take her out tomorrow when I go to work!

I wont drive it in the snow or rain (don't do the rain thing now, black cars suck when dirty).
But if the day is cold, crisp, clear the he comes out to play. I do cover him when I am not using him, but don't do the battery thing cause it wont be covered up that long, so once a week, I turn him on let him warm up nicely, take him out to play if the day merits it. Wished I lived in FL though, ah.... Yearlong Topless Motoring

Made the choice to leave the white powder behind 30 years ago and have not looked back since. Move to SoCal and get to drive all year around, + we need your money. LOL
