Dubbedown, regarding the good news: Thank you!
Regarding the bad news: Well, it sounds like you managed to stay crash free which is also really good news. Thanks again!

So I finally got a chance to try this out. Last event would not allow any externally mounted cameras. I think overall it looks and sounds pretty good.

Cool! Thanks Dubbedown for posting the video and all your help and advice in getting mine set up. I don't do any track, but wanted mine mostly for scenic roads, etc. Here is a crappy phone pic of mine. Took it out one Sunday and it seemed to do a good job. After viewing my first video, I decided I needed to get a line-level so that I can get my horizon correct. I guess I didn't have a calibrated eyeball and a bubble in my nose when I put it on. Or, maybe putting it on on the shoulder of the road didn't help any either. Anyway, thanks again for the idea and the tips.

Even though I'm not sure it could survive a track day and the fact it is unlikely that it would be allowed on the track at all. The Scorpion camera mount made by a poster here would get some amazing footage.
I apologize for not giving her a direct link, but other than the fact I saw it here, I've forgotten where it was posted... |

Im working on adapting one of the mounting arms to connect to the tow hook for that extra peace of mind. I think it protrudes too far from thr body to be allowed on a racetrack unless ure running a controlled and closes scenario. As for autocross, im hoping to do so very soon
