Tired of waiting for PS AS4 in stock, will I regret PZero AS

Really need new tires on the Z4M roadster, amazing how little I have driven it since getting 4 months ago. It has Pirelli Cintutaro whatever now and they are OLD and I break them loose so easily. I have been waiting before even picking it up for Pilot AS4s to come in stock, rears ETA is Octoberish. Thinking about just getting Pirelli PZero AS tires tomorrow.

On my BMWs I have only had DWS or Pilot All Seasons. I love the PS AS4 have them on the M5 & M4. Anyone have experience with PZero AS tires?

By next spring I will get a second set of rims with summer only tires, prolly PS4. My AZ temp tag exp in July and finally going to register the car early next week and want to drive a bunch before winter, any other All Season recommendations? DWS's not on sale right now and the PZeros are $850 installed.

I have Michelin PS4's which are much more performance oriented and can already break the rear end loose under hard throttle in 2nd or 3rd. You should really consider those instead if you are concerned about the car getting loose as this is a performance car and those tires are more equivalent in today's standard to what BMW equipped the car with from factory. They are comfortable also, at least in my opinion. Are you using A/S for comfort or do you drive in cold or wintery temps?

I usually have dedicated sets for the the 3 types; Summer, All Season, & Winter. No need for winter so I will only have 2 sets for the Z, existing tires aren't great and old since summer is over making the stock set AS and will create a second wheel set for summers in the spring next year.

I ended up going with non stock sizes in the PS AS4, they will be here today. Hope I dont regret the size choices..... 225/40 & 245/40

I have a lot of wheels, counting whatever is on each car I think its up to 16 sets for 6 cars.

In the future take a look at the Continental tires as another option, Continental ExtremeContact DWS is my all-season choice when available.

I live in a more extreme temperature area (-35F to 106F), any more than two sets of street tires for a car seems excessive. How worried are you about the fringe season performance? Michelin PS3 / PS4 have never given me issue in monsoon like downpours (ON TRACK and transit to/from) and in temperatures between 25F-40F here - below that car is in storage.

Used pzeros on my gti for 2 years as they came stock with the car….had a total of 5 sidewall bubbles…on every single wheel At different times, purchased new set…not even 3 weeks of having them…another bubble. Have stayed away ever since. Mich., Bridgestone, or Conti's… won't go with anything

I have had many DWS sets and other Conti's, problem I usually have is slight vibrations the first and last few thousands. My first M4 came with extreme contact which I did not like which are summers, I feel the PS AS4s outperformed them.

Well possibly good I did not go with them, though DTD would prolly just keep replacing them. The only Pirellis I ever didnt mind was Sottozero winters.
