Brembo Calipers only
Is there a way to buy Brembo calipers only like 4 piston front and 2 piston back. I want the same braking performance but with Brembo calipers. The reason why is because they are extremely easy to change the pads and they look 100x better. Do the have a caliper that matches out car with no modification. I don't want the 6 piston GT brakes to much $$$$. Thanks in advance.

Not for M, only for 3.0i or 2.5i.
M has to be the GT option. But even the 4 piston and 2 piston setup is by no means a cheap setup. I am running these on my car.

Shorestyle,
I was also looking for Brembo big brakes for my Z4M at a reasonable price. This is where I left off on my search. BMW have their own BMW Performance BBK (6-pot) which is made by Brembo. These calipers will fit in our Z4M rotors, all we need is a bracket and done (also cut a piece of the brake metal shield). There was a company in the UK called Speed Religion which made a kit that included the calipers and brackets for $1200. Front only keep in mind but that's not a bad price for a Brembo 6-pot BBK. The bastards went out of business and I was unable to scoop up a kit. The BMW performance calipers are pretty cheap considering it's a 6-pot Brembo caliper, the trick it's finding somebody to make the bracket to mount caliper. Here's a pic: http://www.speedreligion.net/images/...e-Calliper.jpg |

You can't just bolt Brembo calipers on a car. The master cylinder, ABS system etc are specifically calibrated to the calipers that came on the car. Changing to a completely different caliper without the proper engineering and testing will probably reduce brake performance and may possibly make the car dangerous to drive. Unless you are building a race car, to be used on a racetrack, there is no sensible reason to change the calipers that came on the car. They are more than satisfactory for street use. As for changing pads, that is a rare event and it is just as easy to change pads on BMW sliding calipers as any other type - I can do the entire front or rear in 30 minutes. It is merely a different procedure.

I agree that the stock breaks are good but the pads need to be changed. Either a no-dust street pad or a squeaky track pad.
I think what you're really looking for is just caliper covers so it looks better. Question is, will these M3 covers fit the Z4M: http://www.calipercovers.com/_e/2201...Bolts_Only.htm
