The scary thing is that my supercharger is stuck to the bracket, the shop tried to take one of the big bolts off, but couldn't without putting a lot of force on it and potentially damaging it.. that bastard better stay working! hahaha

This is correct, the software update is for the E46 VT2-550 kit which uses different software than the VT2-500 for the Z4M. The Z4M uses a different DME and does not share the same coding of the E46 DME.

Up until now we have been offering the VT2-500 for the Z4M in an unofficial fashon as it has not been an official production kit. We have made a few kits for those looking for more power over the VT1 kit. We have a new project Z4M that we will be devolping a true production VT2 kit on over the next 30-60 days. This kit will be a more refined version of the current beta VT2-500 kit. I will have more details on this kit very soon.

If you guys have questions on the product you can always email or PM me direct.

NOW!!! We are talking..... A true vt2 setup will only need minor tweaks from what you've got, does this mean an official 550/570kit will be coming to us, I'm glad you guys are working on the z4ms again :-)

Well done.

Now you tell me? after i have bought the VT2-500? :P kidding.

Good luck guys, i hope you will bring our platform up from VT1-445 to low compression high boost reliable applications. I think most people here agree that the Z4M is a wonderful car to work on and it deserves the attention.

We will offer an easy upgrade path for existing VT1 owners. Details and power rating will be available pretty soon.

That's great news to me...that was the only thing that had me concerned about buying your kit

Hi Roman. Thanks for stepping in with updates on the kit! I can't wait to hear about the future upgrade paths.

How many vt2-500 kits are on the road on the Z4M platform? Around 15-20? Just wondering about the rarity : )

I still have a soft spot in my heart for Z4M. The guys that know my history know I had the first supercharged Z4M in the US so working on Z4 again will be fun we just have not had the time this past year to do so.

As far as VT2-500 beta kits I would say 10-15 so it is pretty rare.

it really wont take much as well, its only the intercooler pipe work that needs work, everything else fits like a glove and looks wonderful, its the 550/575 kits we want :-)

The software needs alittle work as well now.... it would be nice to be able to have a revision then kit owners wont feel the need to ask other vendors to do tunes, nothing is perfect and can always been improved, this is my only arguement with Ess id like to see continuation on product development, answer this and your onto a winner ;-) I still love my kit after ALL these years.....

I assume that the last VT2-500 beta was sold to myself and the intercooler pipe that was sent to me from ESS in Norway is a bunch of metal 90degrees pipes with elbows and worm clamps. Do you guys have this pipe like that? i think that the way this pipe is engineered is to be very flexible to fit in the engine bay without any problem and this could be the last revision before making it official.

I can provide pictures of it if you want.

Would love to see pictures—doesn't sound familiar to me! I have one of the earlier VT2-500s, though it wasn't described as beta to me when I purchased

We have had a few versions of intercooler pipes used on the Z4 VT2 kit as they were done by hand and, we changed them a couple times. This kit was never offered as an official product on our website and because we only made a handfull of them there were some small changes some customers could have received from each other.

Ordering the Aero bumper tomorrow, the lady that bumped my front bumper paid up! I'm getting the "bare" kit without foglights, because I'll turn those into functional brake ducts eventually. Will see how much of the intercooler is getting air, if I have to, I'll cut out holes that are blocked on the sides of that lower grille.

Very excited!
