###--- Post your Skyer Spoiler ---###
Hi guys,
Existing Roadster Skyer spoiler owners, post your pictures up. Did you paint it or left it CF. It can give some ideas to the coupe owner for their upcoming CF spoiler. We have not seen many roadster spoiler posted up here. We want your pictures! Coupe owners, while you wait for your spoiler to arrive, please post your spoilers, mounting ideas or desired painting color scheme etc in this thread. Anyone is painting the spoiler partially? like painted top side body color and leave the bottom CF exposed? This will give you a floating spoiler look. Or paint the bottom side and leave the top CF to match your CF roof? Looking forward to your ideas, comments and pictures! .

i absolutely LOVED mine but unfortunately i had to remove it, the fitment was just too off for me to leave this one on my pride and joy. Once i stuck it down i though YESSS looks amazing, but over time, i realised i was kidding myself this piece never fitted correctly, not even close the silicone edge i added hid the issues, excellent quality but fitment was actually one of the worst pieces I've ever brought for a car.
On removing the spoiler , id covered the bottom in 3m sticky tape, and to my shock the spoiler was being held on by 2 tiny contact points, literally 95% of the tape applied to the bottom on the spoiler wasn't in contact with the trunk lid, this confirmed id made the right choice, without a bead of silicone on the edge you can see clear through it to the backside, no way is that good enough for me or a car I've spent thousands on, and owned from new. Total waste of money in the end , hope this doesnt happen with the coupe spoiler as i winced when i saw that GB going up and really wanted to reach out to people I've known for so long but also didn't want to disrespect the very solid OP , i lost ALOT of money on this piece, lesson learned. You asked for comments so i just wanted to be real and give my honest feedback for the community. You are however a very solid seller, stand up guy and i value what you bring to the z4 world..

I think Black with carbon looks nice. I have my spoiler naked, too on a black car.

Hello all, Christmas came early today!!
Here is my unboxing experience and first impressions. (*Warning *3yr old present at time of unboxing) -Package arrived (WOW this box is light) -Daughter comes over and ask what is it Daddy a shelf? I said no hunny it's a SHARK FIN for daddy's RACECAR, she replies, SUPER COOL daddy can I help open it? -holy tape -sneak peak, (wow this is very nice) -damn this thing is light... -short video(contains 3yr old singing Johnny Johnny) - let's go see what it looks like on the car... - was afraid to walk away but the spoiler has perfect balance and literally mounts itself, not really but seriously it looks great and fits perfect!! ... I'll be a late mounter, have Porsche brake conversion, new wheels and tires, alignment and balance for perfect fitment and then an E85 tune to knock a bunch out all at once. Then I'll take a bunch of shots and post them up. Thanks to everyone that made this all a reality, and SKYER knocked it out of the park!!

Primer'ed, 2x base coat and cleared. LOTS of imperfection and orange peel in the clear. Somewhat expected from the rattle can and the test strip I shot last week. So this weekend will be spent sanding, sanding, and more sanding from 800 grit all the way to 3000, then compounding and polishing to get it to where I'm happy. Maybe by Sunday night I will have installed shots. Next weekend probably will make a run up to Angeles Crest for some outdoor shots.
Gotta say, for rattle can TouchupDirect.com's product is pretty good. Took some trial and error but I am impressed with the result, even though it's going to take some significant elbow grease to get the final result acceptable. $50 plus shipping for enough rattle can paint to do about a door's worth. The spoiler is a pain in the @ss to paint without a rig. I should have made something to hang it using the two screw holes on the bottom.

ZeD4Mr is that interlagos blue roadster spoiler painted or naked? Can't quite tell due to the outdoors reflection/shine.

Received mine today as planned. Thoughts:
Finish is outstanding. Packaging was outstanding. The fit is 95-98% perfect, I am really impressed. With VHB tape, it should install just fine. I am in the aerospace business, so to me, ALL preload on structure is bad. Dryfit, the very ends of the spoiler ride a little high. They are about half the thickness, or less, of the VHB tape, proud of the surface. This is just at the tips/ends. The core of the spoiler sits perfectly with no gap. Zero. The gaps at the tips should come out with VHB tape. It's minor, but I thought I would mention it. Again, I am super tuned up to preloads and gaps. That said, I did see a 4-series coupe at the dealer recently with an M Performance carbon spoiler on it, VPC installed (on window sticker). I assume BMW only uses the prescribed Betalink glue. At any rate, even fully installed by VPC, it also had slight gaps at the tips. You could move the spoiler up and down and close them if you pushed down. So even M Performance is not perfect. This is a nice looking spoiler and I am really happy with it. I think the key will be use plenty of VHB at the tips. It would be tempting to do a perimeter of VHB and put some Betalink on the interior space for a hybrid attachment system. I am going to have my detailer coat it with Opticoat Pro Plus, like the rest of the car.

Hm that actually looks pretty good. Now I'm not sure if I want to finish the process or strip it and re-clear.
