New suspension going on, need help on spacers

I have a 2004 3.0i and I finally have my appointment set up to get my Eibach springs and Koni shocks installed. I'm still running my stock style 107 wheels and rubber (Front 8x18 ET47, Rear 8.5x18 ET50), but would like to throw on some spacers to have them sit flush with the fender. I don't want it too extreme such that my suspension will be prematurely worn down or have my handling be compromised though. After reading through many threads it seems like I should go with 12.5mm spacers to be on the safe side, although many have reported going much higher. Any opinions on going larger?

The work is being done at Turner, so they will use TMS brand spacers. I'd like to give them a call soon to make sure they keep a set in stock for me on my appointment date in 2 weeks.
