Wtb: plastic trim parts bottom of front bumper
Hi guys, I'm looking for a couple of plastic insulation pieces, that sit in the bottom of the front bumper, right behind it, immediately after each fender wheel lining Number 6 above. And little rubber from bumper lowest front, number 23 here. These who have perfect wheel liners, I might take these too. Thanks in advance, Sasha. |

I would doubt that anyone would have those extra parts lying around. If they do, it's usually in pieces laying on the side of the road somewhere
You can buy those from your dealer...not too terribly expensive. When I replaced mine about 3 years ago, those plastic pieces cost about $36 each. The rubber spoiler actually cost more at about $43. You may want to buy as bunch of blind rivets as well. For example, #25 is attached to #6 with blind rivets. If you replace #6, then you'll have to move part #25 over. I got lazy when I did mine and just use screws/washers/nuts to secure it. |

Thanks for the reply.
Funny thing is my dealer lists these fir triple the price you mentioned... If their are interchangeable with the non m z4, then it's indeed what you mention. Different part numbers, but I think they are the same. What if you think? |

Those parts are not interchangeable between M and non-M as the M bumpers are different shape and those parts are part of the bumper support.

Everything that connects to the underside of the front bumper is different for the ///M. Those that retrofit to our bumper either bought new trims or left the entire bottom of the bumper flapping around with gaping holes. If you're still not convinced, just look up those parts on RealOEM.

They're a tick over $100 each from TheBMWPartStore, which is about the cheapest place on the net.
That's probably going to be your best bet. Few people would be removing ones that weren't already broke. I had to replace both of mine and the diaper right after I bought my car. Previous owner must have had a steep driveway. BTW, according to RealOEM, my 2006 MR doesn't have parts 23-26. I don't know what the deal is there, but you may not actually be missing them. Maybe you never had them.

23-26 doesn't look familiar to me either.
I need number 6 on one side, how much work was it to install? i've laid on the ground and looked up through it, looks like a pita. Did you have to remove the bumper? |

parts 23-26 is a coupe only items. Not sure why roadsters don't have that rubberized under bumper spoiler.

j2h^3, yes, there's screws through from the inside that you can't get to without taking off the bumper. Not that big a deal. Just have some spares of these, in case you lose a pin.
XMetal, thanks. That's the only thing I could figure, unless it was added/subtracted in some model year. Weird.
