I can't imagine that it will be much different from the M3, sure some differences, but generally similar. Anyway, here's a start..... http://www.madrussian.net/m3/diy_as_ssk.shtml And a review: http://www.madrussian.net/m3/review_as_ssk.shtml

Yay finally heard from the busy Ron. Here's what he said earlier this afternoon:
"I will have more time at the end of the week and will work up the production schedule this weekend and start producing them hopefully sometime next week. I cannot give you specifics at this point since I need to check on machine time availability and will be able to do that on Sunday. regards Ronald" So, we're a tiiiiiiny bit behind schedule according to my clock, but I think it should be done and ready for packaging & shipping in a matter of a few days once the production starts. EXCITED! |

Sure, will add you right away.
btw, for the list of contact info I'm putting together for Ronald, I'm only keeping city/state/zip code/country. So for those that provided me full addresses, I do apologize if he calls and/or e-mails you for full address at a future date. However, if you're going to be using Paypal to pay him anyhow, he should have your destination address no problems. The list I'm putting together is so that he can go collect money from you guys once the kits are finished. That way my job is over from there onwards =P Last edited by mfanatic325; 10-19-2010 at 09:15 PM.. |

LoL yes, as of right now, it's the best known kit out there just by info/specs alone. Then there's the actual hands-on experience by me and another forum member by the name or RobMcoupe (I test drove his car). Then there are many happy customers from the E46 M3 crowd, with a lot claiming AutoSolutions is considered the best kit available for their cars. My best friend has an AS SSK installed in his M3, and he only ever gets top quality stuff for his car.

Wait is of no concern to me as it's unlikely that I'll even install this before spring. Look forward to it though. If this does what you all say it does, this car is going to be *perfect*.

Everyone that's signed up thus far has checked in with me, and is ready to pay as soon as the kits finish production.
We still have 1 more spot open. Any takers? |

Quick question.
When you did the test drive, which shift knob was installed? I'm wondering if the ZHP will be too short.

This is how I would do the breakdown using a 0-5 scale (0 being ridiculously low shift knob/base ; and 5 being half a foot in length above the shift boot) stock E46 M3 shifter --> 4 stock Z4M shifter --> 4 Z4M + ZHP shift knob --> 3.5 Z4M +stock shift knob + AS SSK --> 3 Z4M + ZHP shift knob + AS SSK --> 2.5 stock s2k shifter --> 2.75 MR2 + sunk shift kit --> 0 Hope that helps =/ |

would you please ask if it is at all possible to have the shift lever (i think its called) made to allow for the installation of standard shift knobs? (screw on, threaded) 10x1.25?
